Gas Leak Detection & Backflow Prevention
Protect What You Can’t See or Smell
A rotten-egg odor, a hissing pipe, or water flowing the wrong direction can put your family’s health at risk. Our licensed plumbers detect and repair gas leaks and install the backflow preventers your home or irrigation system needs to stay safe and code-compliant.
What We Do
Gas Safety & Backflow Protection
Two very different risks — a gas leak you might not notice, and water that isn’t supposed to flow backward — handled by the same licensed team.

Protect Your Water
Irrigation & Sprinkler Backflow Protection
Fertilizers, pesticides, and soil bacteria can siphon back into your water supply through an irrigation system without a backflow preventer.

Frequently Asked
Gas & Safety Questions, Answered
What does a gas leak smell like?
Natural gas is given a distinct rotten-egg odor so it’s noticeable. If you smell it, or notice a hissing sound near a gas line, an unusually high gas bill, or visible corrosion on a line, leave the area and call us right away.
Is carbon monoxide the same as a gas leak?
No — natural gas has that rotten-egg smell, but carbon monoxide is completely odorless and can’t be detected by smell at all. That’s why working carbon monoxide detectors in the home matter just as much as gas leak awareness.
Do I legally need a backflow preventer?
In many states and municipalities, yes — especially for irrigation systems, private wells, and any “cross-connection” between your clean water supply and something like a washer, sprinkler system, or fire suppression line.
What causes backflow?
A drop in water pressure — from a water main break, a power outage, or even a neighbor running a garden hose — can pull water backward into your home’s plumbing instead of forward, along with whatever contaminants it picks up along the way.
Do backflow preventers need to be tested?
Yes. Backflow preventers should be tested periodically to confirm they’re still working and to keep you compliant with local code — we test and certify them.
